So you may not know but PARADISE (The story this blog is about) is very much inspired by a lot of stuff I like and enjoy
One
of the bigger influences is the Alice in Wonderland story. SO, I'd thought
I'd do just a little doodle where I drew some of the main cast of
PARADISE and re-imagine them based on their Alice in wonderland
counterpart! It's also a sort of unofficial height chart of some of the
main characters
Elizabeth as: Alice:
So
this one is pretty clear, they are both main characters in their
stories, they were from one place and were lead to another, they both
end up experiencing a ton of weird shit and adventures and end up in
rather weird company
Salem as: The Cheshire cat;
Ok
so, I made Salem (Elizabeth's cat and trusted companion) into the
Cheshire cat, though I didn't just do it because they were both cats
(That was only PART of it). I don't really have much information about
Salem other than he spends the story following Elizabeth around And
hinted that at some point, he gets messed up due to some magic
shenanigans. And at first he is just that, he follows Elizabeth around
and is her most trusted friend and companion and is her emotional
support. Though after being messed up due magic shenanigans he starts to
become more 'Human' (Like, starts talking, using a form of magic, just
weird shit in general) but he still holds Elizabeth dear and remains her
companion
Flynn as: the White rabbit:
I
drew him as the white rabbit due to a couple similarities, mostly the
part in Alice in wonderland where the white rabbit leads Alice into
wonderland and in my story Flynn's first appearance performs a similar
role to the white rabbit. Granted he didn't technically LEAD Elizabeth
to Paradise, He mostly just TOOK her there, but still.
Ansley as: The church hare;
Ok,
so...Ansley doesn't ACTUALLY compare all that much to the church hair, I
had some trouble picking her counterpart and so I was doing some random
stuff. I gave her the bunny look as I intentionally wanted her to be
the white rabbit, but that was given to Flynn, And I thought her as a
bunny was just TO CUTE to throw away (I also really liked how I made the
ear covered her scarred eye), So I slightly altered it into the church
hare

I
had SO much fun on this, even if it was a fairly quick thing to make,
Although my fave part is Elizabeth's dress. gotta draw her in dresses
more.
I might come back to this and add color or ut more characters on there at some pint, but for now, Just have this,
